Conn man: the view from the bridge
Article Abstract:
Helmsmen manning large vessels have a different view of the sea compared to those piloting smaller craft. Although both follow the same rules of the sea, those piloting large ships stay on the same course regardless if their ship is the 'burdened vessel' because changing their ship's course is more difficult.
