A sailor describes the way he made arrangements in his boat to create modifications to ensure the safety and comfort of their newborn child Ryan while sailing through the South Pacific. One of the most widespread innovations was the repeated use of canvas-bordered, see-through mesh retainers secured by twist studs.

Gary Jobson is a sailboat racer in America, since his college days in New Jersey and has won three Southern Ocean Racing Conferences, the Force 5s, one design championships on Lasers, Shields and the 1979 Fastnet Race aboard 'furners' ocean racer. Gary uses his position in sailing to benefit cancer research.
