Don't worry, be healthy: pressure comes off hypertension meds

An FDA advisory panel has asserted that most calcium channel blockers do not increase the risk of heart attack. Only short-acting, quick-release nifedipine has been associated with an increased risk of heart attack, but only when taken in doses of 80 milligrams or more.

A study of 858 heart-attack patients found that sexual activity is not an important risk factor for heart attack. Regular exercise is the best way that people with heart disease can cut their risk of sex-related heart attack.

Control blood pressure

Diet therapy can be very useful in lowering high blood pressure. A diet recommended to reduce blood pressure is designed to control weight and limit sodium intake. The diet is also high in potassium, magnesium and calcium.
