Olivia Goldsmith and who was the writer of many books that related to beauty standards and trophy wives including the book that inspired the movie The First Wives Club, she suffered a cardiac arrest and died while she was undergoing plastic surgery, It is still not clear whether Olivia Goldsmith, who was overweight died due to reaction to anesthesia or whether she succumbed to the pressure to look young, thin and glamorous.
