Effects of gender and defense player on entire lower extremity bio mechanics during sidestepping was studied. By considering the lower extremity, one can understand the injury mechanism which in turn leads to better training programs to prevent injury.

Article Abstract:

One-step and multistep approaches to study the effects of angle of approach on support leg kinematics and GRF are studied. Results indicate that high-angle approach increases the medial and posterior GRF, resulting in negative implications for soccer kick performance.

Pulmonary embolism in an adolescent soccer player: A case report

Article Abstract:

A study was done of a 16-year-old healthy soccer player, with no apparent risk factor, who suddenly suffered from pulmonary embolism and no apparent cause was discovered for this.

Stress fracture of the proximal fibula in a young soccer player: a case report and a review of the literature

A case of a stress fracture involving the proximal fibula in a teenage soccer player is presented. Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed this rare type of stress fracture.
