Effects of oral creatine supplementation on muscular strength and body composition

Article Abstract:

Oral creatine supplementation was studied in a 6-week investigation into its effects on muscular strength and body composition. It was found that the supplementation during arm flexor strength training led to greater increases in arm flexor muscular strength, fat-free mass and upper arm muscle area than strength training alone.

Electromyographic activity and applied load during seated quadriceps exercises

Article Abstract:

Research demonstrates interaction between the right rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, and vastus medialis oblique muscle activity and exercise type during concentric and not during eccentric muscle activities. Data indicate that not all seated quadriceps exercises lead to similar electromyograhic activities.
