Article Abstract:

The ability of vitamin E to act as an antioxidant has given rise to the belief that it can prolong life and health. Issues concerning the importance of vitamin E are presented, with reference to the National Institute of Medicine's announcement that the daily recommended dose should be increased by 3 milligrams.
