Lighthouses have a long and romantic history that begins with the Colossus of Rhodes built in 300 BC. Lighthouses have been replaced by electronic beacons, but they continue to be a symbol of power and heroism.

New standards for GPS accuracy
Article Abstract:
GPS accuracy may decrease under new Dept of Defense standards for nonmilitary use. The 95% accuracy standard will change from 100m to 141m. Boaters are advised to use two systems as a safety measure.
