French lessons: Supermotard symposium
Article Abstract:
Supermotard is a combination of high speed race and exhibitionism held in France since the mid 1980s. It is similar to the Carlsbad Superbikers event the last of which was seen in the US in the 1980s. Organizers of the Supermotard are planning an international event for 1999.

Triple play

The inaugural International Triumph Speed Triple Cup was staged in southern France as a side attraction to the Bol D'Or 24-hour endurance event. The event was participated in by 33 motorcyclists from the US, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Coming home: World Superbike champion Doug Polen returns to America to take care of unfinished business

Doug Polen won the World Superbike championships in both 1991 and 1992. In 1993 Polen plans to concentrate on the American Motorcycle Assoc Superbike Championship series.
