Functional neuromuscular rehabilitation of posterior shoulder dislocation in a high school baseball player

Article Abstract:

A functional neuromuscular rehabilitation treatment program that prepared an overhead athlete to return to sport following a traumatic posterior shoulder dislocation is presented. The results suggested that in addition to the traditional rehabilitation program, incorporation of a functional neuromuscular rehabilitation program following traumatic posterior shoulder dislocation might be beneficial for the overhead athlete.

An electromyographic analysis of the Cuff Link rehabilitation device

Article Abstract:

The amount of muscle activity in 4 shoulder muscles during exercise on the Cuff Link is determined. The differences that were found across the weight-bearing conditions for 4 muscles were significant and the exercise on the Cuff Link required minimal to significant amounts of muscle recruitment.

Using lunge measurements for baseline fitness testing

Article Abstract:

The relationships between lunge distance and height and leg length are examined to determine the reliability of the lunge test and whether there are gender differences associated with it. Studies indicate that the lunge can be used to effectively measure lower extremity functions.
