Genetic correlation of exercise with heart rate and respitoru sinus arrythmia

Article Abstract:

Research points out that a common geneic factor influences the association between exercise and the cardiovascular risk factors. Data indicate that about 84% and 88% of the young and middle-aged twins, respectively, exhibit an association between exercise and the cardiovascular risk factors. Furthermore, heritability estimates are 16% and 29% for respiratory sinus arrhythmia, 64% and 68% for heart rate in young and middle-aged twins, respectively.
