A better propeller: a small outboard plus shallow, weedy water equals big trouble - unless you're equipped

Article Abstract:

Powertech! makes a boat propeller with trailing edges that helps a boat exit from shallow water quickly. A three-blade propeller with 12- or 13-inch pitches work well. One technique for a quick departure is to use only a one-half or two-thirds throttle with a vertical engine.
