Glass ceiling: get the wood out

Article Abstract:

Boat builders should stop using glass-covered plywood substructures because sooner or later, water will get in and start the rotting process. The primary reason proposed for the use of wood is price. However, prices of boats made only of glass fibers are within the same range as their counterparts.
