Article Abstract:
Motorcycles employs powerful engines. However, piston-shaking forces within the engines lead to shaky and unstable motion. Shock-producing motion can be eliminated by using less cylinders and more vibrations. This solution is based on nature's way of providing good dynamic balance.

Richard Haley of Marblehead, MA, collects 1960s BSA Twins motorcycles which he considers to be neglected as collectibles. He has a 1966 Spitfire Mk II Special, a 1968 650 Lightning and a 1965 Lightning Clubman. He is currently working on a Rocket Gold Star.
