Cyclists may have to change their behavior on the road as cities known for being bike-friendly begin to clamp down against road violations. Although cyclists suffer from abuse by drivers, it is unfair for them to be spared from the law when they fail to stop at a red light or urinate in public.

Article Abstract:

Richard Virenque was compelled to withdraw from the 1998 Tour de France because of alleged drug use. Even though no other members of Virenque's team tested positive for taking performance-enhancing drugs, they were also forced to withdraw from the race.

Article Abstract:

Bicycling magazine editor Jim Langley and some of his friends were assaulted by a truck driver while trekking near Soquel, CA. After identifying the erring driver, Langley filed assault charges against him.
