Handicaps

Article Abstract:

The United States Golf Assn (USGA) calculates the Handicap Index on the basis of golfers' 10 best scores out of their previous 20 scores. This allows golfers to compete equally with others on the basis of their potential. Many golfers base their identity on their handicap.

Kid's game

Article Abstract:

A child should begin to learn golf in a group situation. Individual instruction will develop playing skills after the basics have been mastered. Competing in junior tournaments is the next step.
