Golfing magazine will begin featuring the best of the golfing pros in instructional articles and on the golf TV channel. It was announced that the PGA Championships will be held in Aug 1997 at the venerable Winged Foot course in NY. This course is usually the site of the US Open.

Golf Magazine and the United States Golf Assn are engaged in a project to speed up golf play. They have developed a 'Pace Rating' system for golf courses based on distance, time spent on greens, obstacle difficulty and cart restrictions.
