Inadequate carbohydrate intake following prolonged exercise does not increase muscle soreness after 15 minutes of downhill running

Article Abstract:

The study sought to determine if the degree of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) in subjects after a downhill run would increase if there were an inadequate carbohydrate intake after exercise to decrease muscle glycogen. DOMS did occur in all subjects has been indicated by the results of the indirect measures of muscle damage.

Endurance training on low-carbohydrate and grain-based diets: a case study

Article Abstract:

The effects of low-carbohydrate (LC) and grain-based (GB) diets on body composition, biomarkers, athletic training and performance in an elite athlete are examined. The analysis has shown that a low-carbohydrate diet vis-a vis a grain based diet had its positive and negative effects on the individual.

Cordyceps sinensis (cordymax Cs-4) supplementation does not improve endurance exercise performance

Article Abstract:

The effect of CordyMax Cs-4 supplementation (5 weeks) in an endurance-trained population is examined by the double blind, placebo-controlled study. It was found that CordyMax Cs-4 intake did not improve oxygen uptake or endurance exercise performance in the current subjects.
