Indian Ocean thrashes Vendee sailors

Strong winds, reaching 65 knots and seas of almost 25 feet in the Indian Ocean, assailed sailboat competitors of the Vendee Globe Challenge after rounding Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. French racing star Isabelle Autissier and others were forced to withdraw from from the competition.

Sailors are helping to keep waters around the world clean. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is working to boost the oyster population in the Bay, while in Auckland, New Zealand, America's Cup sailors planted more than 10,000 trees on islands in the Hauraki Gulf.
