'I've found a lump.' (how the 37-year-old author prepared for her lumpectomy)
Article Abstract:
The unexpected happened to the author who had done 'Prevention' magazine research on breast lumps. When her surgeon told her what her mammogram showed in her right breast, he offered a choice of biopsy procedures. On her own she discovered a lump in her left breast. She decided to remove both lumps instead of undergoing partial biopsies in both breasts. Test results showed that both were benign.
