Runners from Kenya dominate the US race scene, preventing US, Canadian and runners of other nationalities from winning prize money. Sponsors could limit the number of Kenyans entering races, by only inviting and paying the expenses of a set number of Kenyan runners.

Fast runners want a flat, easy course whereas slower runners seek a route with good scenery. Most runners object to courses which end going uphill or which consist only of laps. Runners like to see the finish line only when they are finished.

Equality plus: men aren't receiving equal pay for equal running

Article Abstract:

The larger number of males involved in competitive running makes equal prize money for male and female winners unfair. Prize money should be awarded on the basis of performance, as proposed by the World Assn of Veteran Athletes.
