Von Sneidern, a peacock bass fish guide, and a customer were kidnapped by Venezuelan guerilla soldiers on Nov 15, 1992. Von Sneidern's family was ordered to pay a ransom for his release, but they organized an effort to rescue the two hostages. He describes his 72-day ordeal.
