Major credit: a 10-year exemption is a valuable commodity on the PGA Tour

A golfer who wins a major championship, such as the US Open or the Masters, is entitled to enter any PGA Tour event, regardless of record, for a 10 year period. No golfer wants to make use of this exemption, but it can be useful in case of an injury or slump.
