Advice is presented for golfers from a master teaching professional, who observes that teaching of golf is an art and therefore achieves different interpretations, while the fundamentals remain the same. Eight such 'golden rules' are described and illustrated.

Most current golf swing teaching techniques involve far too many steps. The basics of golf are analyzed, including: getting a good feel of the weight of the club, relaxation of the arms, the role of gravity in the swing, balance, and other factors.

Tips are making the greenside lob shot in golf are given. One tip is to treat the shot like a long chip, gripping the club a little tighter than usual and playing the ball just to the back of center of one's stance.
