After spending the night in an uncrowded anchorage in the southeast corner of Bora Bora, a cruising yacht is run aground after a sudden shift in the weather. In hindsight, the sailors involved now know to monitor the weather at all times to anticipate necessary changes in anchorage.

The experiences of a sailor finding his boat trapped in fishermens' nets are recounted. On finding the boat has been caught, a sailor should lower all sails or switch off the engine and use a boathook to try and remove the tangle.
