Article Abstract:

The relationship between the Augusta National Golf Club, which stages the Masters golf tournament, and CBS, which telecasts the tournament, is discussed. The author says the telecasts are tasteful and subdued. They are also commercial-free, because Masters Chairman William "Hootie" Johnson yanked the commercials when the National Council of Women's Organizations threatened to criticize the sponsors.
