Nutrient intake and eating habits of triathletes on a Brazilian diet

Article Abstract:

The objectives of this study are to determine the dietary habits, energy balance, and macro- and micronutrient dietary adequacy of triathletes, and to provide an athletes food pyramid. The athletes' food pyramid is intended to help athletes visualize their food needs and is designed to provide the nutritional guidelines needed to improve health and optimize performance.

Nutritional strategies of mountain marathon competitors- An observational study

Article Abstract:

A nutritional survey of event competitors in United Kingdom is undertaken using a questionnaire-based approach. The competitors in longer-distance classes are observed to carry significantly less mass of food, which is more energy dense, but the calorific value is lower than that of the competitors in shorter classes.

Dietary supplementation practices of Singaporean athletes

Article Abstract:

The results of a study conducted with the help of an anonymous questionnaire, to determine the supplementation practices followed by the Singaporean athletes is presented. The result indicates that the supplementary levels used by the Singaporean athletes are similar to those identified in other nations.
