On the U.S. Opens: golf and tennis

The US Opens for golf and for tennis share a number of similarities as well as differences. One such difference is in locker-room policies. While the tennis media are usually not allowed into the locker rooms, except in the Open, media people covering golf are accustomed to mingling with players there.

Stagger the Cup to stop its fall

Article Abstract:

The prestige of the Davis Cup competitions could be further enhanced by scheduling the competitions to only four rounds every two year period. This has the effect of keeping the athletes in top condition to play in the competition as well as lengthen the duration of their titles.

How I'd fix men's tennis

Article Abstract:

The Association of Tennis Professionals Championship and the Grand Slam Cup should be merged into one season-ending tournament and renamed The Masters. International attention would be ensured by moving the tournament back to the US.
