The 1992 Bercy Super Yacht d'Or attracted 12,000 spectators to an indoor stadium near Paris, France. The sailboats raced in a pool and were powered by 20-knot winds produced by large fans. Russell Coutts was the overall winner.

Around the world at 60: the new Whitbread boats
Article Abstract:
Nine syndicates are building 11 sailboats for the new Whitbread 60 class in the race that will start on Sep 25, 1993. The addition of the new class should lead to a closer race than the 1989 event.
