Article Abstract:

An overview is presented of the punishment levied on professional golf players for bad behaviour. PGA fines have reached six-figure sums for repeated indiscretions by players such as Tiger Woods. 'Conduct unbecoming a professional' is the reason provided for fines established for most golfing misdemeanors.'

Professional golfers spend a lot of time on the practice range where they engage in various activities that take on characteristics of their own depending on the day of the week. The later in the week it gets, the less likely a player is to engage in idle conversations or activities.

Slow and slower

Article Abstract:

Slow play by some professional golfers is a continuing problem on the PGA Tour. Some golfers maintain the best-known players are judged more leniently in the application of penalties and fines. A faster penalty process is one solution.
