Bowhunters need the type of practice that will help them shoot a deer. Shooting the same target from the same vantage point each time is not a good way to practice. Going into the woods and shooting one arrow at a different target each time is best.

Getting the wooden shaft

Article Abstract:

A large number of modern bowhunters still rely on wooden arrows which were first invented 250,000 years ago. Many bowhunters use these ancient weapons because of their accuracy. Wooden arrows also give them a sense of nostalgia during hunting.

Song of the stickbow

Article Abstract:

Traditional bows are lighter, simpler and less expensive that the high tech bows on the market today. The longbow does shoot more slowly than a compound, but this does not need to be a problem.
