Seamanship: Ship without a rudder

Article Abstract:

The sleek, 60-foot racer/cruiser 'Serengeti', a high-tech sailboat lost the steering while weaving through the Bahamas in its route to Jamaica at the Pineapple Cup. The Serengeti's rudder-partially balanced spade- clipped the deck due to a problem and it was not inspected, thus rudder has proven to be an important part for a sailboat.
