Article Abstract:

This article follows the careers of several physical therapists who serve underprivileged people in rural and urban areas. Topics addressed include working conditions, language barriers, and the satisfaction physical therapists gain from helping those in need.

This article examines the relationship between minority representation in the health care industry and the ability of minorities to access health care services. The work of several physical therapists to increase minority access to their services is discussed.

Florence Kendall: what a wonderful journey
