Tips for sailors on repairing deck delamination are presented. Delamination involves the failure of the bonds between the skins and core resulting in a loss of structural integrity. The two main causes of delamination are excessive flexing of the panel and core material degradation by water.

Step x step refit: Ave Marina gets new knees

A cruising sailor gets down to the job of doing a full-scale refit on a 1974 Vineyard Vixen 29 named Ave Marina. A complete grinding was what the boat needed to repair the boat's interior. Aside from the refit, the engine, plumbing, rigging and wiring sorely needed repair.
