Sport and the facade of redevelopment in the postindustrial city

Article Abstract:

In the post industrial cities, large amount of spaces are allocated for building sports facilities to help in the redevelopment of the city, generation of wealth and provide employment opportunities but in reality they are detached from the poor neighborhoods. The example of Oriole Park at Camden Yards complex in Baltimore is considered for showing the link between sport spaces and consumer capital in a postindustrial city.
