Several competitive riders prefer to use twin Norton engines in their motorcycles. This is because of the depth of quality, steering geometry and good dirt-track chassis that the engines feature. Some of the more popular riders using Norton engines are Ron Wood, Harold Allison and Rob Morrison.

Munich '98: what's not for us

Some of the new motorcycles featured at the 1998 Munich Show are unlikely to be introduced in the US market. These include the Honda Varadero and Vigor 650 Scrambler, the Ducati MH900e, the Kawasaki W650 and the KTM Duke II.
