Injecting tranquilizing drugs on horses for various reasons is becoming more common in certain segments of the horse-racing world. The different ways in which tranquilizers are administered in competitive and non-competitive situations are discussed together with the specific properties of the most commonly used drugs.

Massage away pain
Article Abstract:
The way to detect and diffuse minor muscle pain in the horse's forequarters with four simple massage moves is demonstrated. A final bit of exercise is also mentioned so that the horse can gain maximum benefit from the massage.
