Article Abstract:
Team Roberts' Modenas KR3 has found it difficult to win races despite the initial third place that it won in 1997. Reasons cited are its irregular carburetion, cooling troubles and crankshaft spreading. The 1998 team will include Kenny Roberts, Jr and Ralf Waldmann.

The Catalina Grand Prix will soon be revived, as will the Elsinore Grand Prix, whichwill now be known as the 'Elsinore Grand Prix and Outdoor Sports Classic.' The races were once glamorous and much-awaited events on Catalina Island and Elsinore, CA, respectively.
