The classic American shotgun
Article Abstract:
The US is not known for its shotguns in the way that it is for rifles or pistols. However, many fine shotguns have been made by American gunsmiths. The guns made by Ansley H. Fox are the most attractive and others made by Remington, Ithaca, Parker Brothers Gun Co., and Browning are notable.

When Browning introduced its Model 325 over/under shotgun, many people were confused because the length of pull was longer than the long accepted standard. The accepted standard should change to better accommodate the different body sizes and needs of shotgun owners.

Article Abstract:
Shotgun snobbery has become more prevalent, partly as the result of the game of Sporting Clays. A humorous analysis of 'defensive snobbery' is presented. Pretending to ignore someone else's accomplishments is one way of discouraging snobbery.
