The competitive environment of journal publication

Article Abstract:

Competition to publish research results is rapidly increasing, and the way to improve the chances for publishing an article in Medicine & Science in Sports and Exercise is to understand its standards. The most recent version is published as "Information for Authors" in this month's issue. In addition, the quality of research must be model-driven, use sound statistical analysis, and clearly communicate results.

Development and clinical application of kinematic MRI of the patellofemoral joint using an extremity MR system

Article Abstract:

The efficiency of an extremity magnetic resonance system can be enhanced by applying specific kinematic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques. In diagnosing the patellofemoral joint, the most useful MRI techniques include incremental, passive positionings for three separate axial section locations. These methods can improve the accuracy of diagnoses within the clinical setting.
