The satisfaction derived from owning a boat comprises several factors that were seemingly not so initially important. A closer analysis reveals that size, sail plan, displacement, auxiliary power and cockpit position affect a boat's performance.

Wood repairs from the top down
Article Abstract:
A wood replacement method for repairing a crack on a boat's wooden deck or hatch covering are presented. The technique, although more difficult than applying a sealant goo, provides durability and hides any signs that repair has been made.
