The duck dancers of Swan Lake
Article Abstract:
Minnesota conservation officials and duck hunters cooperated to restore Swan Lake as a duck hunting area after farming devastated its waterfowl population. A 10-year recovery plan began in 1985. Hunters raise thousands of mallards, geese and terns each year in predator-proof baskets.
