Charles McLane recounts the time he served in the famous 10th Mountain Division of the 87th Infantry Mountain Regiment. The 10th division was US's ski and mountaineering fighting force in WW II. McLane's job was to train the troops with new skiing techniques.

Honduran endurance

Article Abstract:

Honduran skier Jenny Palacios-Stillo will enter the women's cross-country skiing events at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Palacios-Stiller hopes to win some positive publicity for Honduras and challenge the Honduran belief that only men can be athletes.

Desert racing: a story of endurance

Article Abstract:

The SCORE Trophy-Truck desert series is an endurance test for Toyota trucks. The trucks are inspected before each race, at which time they receive new parts. The MCI/Toyota off-road team has won more than 30 races since 1983.
