The purpose of parks

The Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service have the common policy of developing national parks for the preservation of indigenous wildlife. Previously, the National Park Service stressed the use of parks for their natural wonders and commercial tourism.

Pres Clinton's call for a National Biological Survey and reorganization of the US Fish and Wildlife Service is ill-advised. The FWS has had a long tradition of serving sportsmen of all political beliefs, and the system worked well.
