Article Abstract:

The winning entries of the 1995 Yachting/National Marine Manufacturers Assn. Design Contest are presented. Two amateur designers and two professionals were chosen as winners. The winning amateur designer was given a scholarship to the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology.

A yacht cruise down the midcoast rivers of Maine aboard a Grand Banks 36 is described. The itinerary included the Royal, New Meadows, Kennebec, Sasanoa, Sheepscot and Damariscotta rivers.
