Article Abstract:

The tales of woe of hunters who skewed up royally during the previous hunting season are recounted. The narrator hopes that such tales would bring him immeasurable comfort during the forthcoming season as he made precision casts into the tops of trees, hiked 3 miles in darkness to a deer stand without the release of his bow, or stepped into waist-deep potholes wearing hip waders.

Laura Rhea president of the Arkansas Rice Depot, a food bank serving 300 church pantries across the state suggests that one is always on the lookout for meat. To have the joy of the hunt and then have the joy of filling somebody's stomach accounts for a satisfying hunt.
