A sailors buys a neglected Hobie 33 in New Orleans, tows it back to San Francisco, restores her, and qualifies for the Singlehanded Transpacific Race. After the qualifier the sailor sells the boat, only to buy her back years later. After some upgrades the Hobie 33 finishes the transpac.
