Article Abstract:

Mule deer exhibit different behavior during the fall months, and understanding their behavior can improve a hunter's success. Early in the hunting season, the deer seek higher elevations for the cooler temperatures, while late in the season they are driven to lower elevations by snow and to seek does in heat.

Article Abstract:

Mule deer, which tended to be unwary in the 1960s, have become much better at avoiding hunters. Hunters are more likely to find mule deer in private lands, restricted public lands, or less-popular hunting areas.
