Article Abstract:

Some safety measures to prevent capsizing are outlined. Proper boat maintenance and outfitting, wearing Coast Guard-approved floatation device, good anticipation and carrying monitoring and life-saving devices, which would be critical in such situations, can prevent accidents.

People who fish by wading in streams should take extra precautions to ensure their safety. They should wear the right equipment to prevent falls and know how to work their way to the bank if they fall in, and how to get out of the water.
