When the Walls Come Tumbling Down
Article Abstract:
Boxer Tony Ayala Jr. seemed to have a good chance at winning a boxing title, but he was convicted of raping a woman in 1983 and sentenced to at least 15 years in prison. Ayala's history of beating men and women, and his drug and alcohol abuse, stems from the secret that he was sexually molested by a family friend. With psychological treatment, he was able to deal with the experience, and is due to be released from prison in Apr 1999. He wants to box again.
